Ergonomics

No one sits the same

Type, scroll, click, call, design, code, game… Whatever you do behind your screen, after a few hours your body starts to complain. Stiff neck, cramped shoulders, aching back. Sounds familiar? In the Netherlands alone, more than 2 million people face these issues. The good news? Most of them can be prevented. In style. Of course.

  • Dynamic sitting

A good chair invites you to regularly change posture — this is called ‘dynamic sitting’. It keeps your blood flowing and helps you feel more energized. We also recommend taking a break or standing for a short period every hour. That way, work and life truly become more enjoyable.

Our goal at Se7en is to give you support and comfort every moment of the working day, no matter what you are doing. It is important that you adjust your chair properly. Check out how to easily adjust your Se7en in 7 steps below.

  • Seat height

Place your feet relaxed and flat on the floor, and adjust the height so the angle between your thighs and calves is at least 90°. The lever is located on the bottom right of the seat.

  • Seat depth

Leave about 3 cm between the front edge of the seat and your knees for proper circulation.

  • Lumbar support

The contoured lumbar support in the backrest should be positioned at the level of your waistband. Choose the correct height of the backrest so that the spine is optimally supported at the level of the 4th and 5th lumbar vertebrae.

Additional support for the lower back (lumbar) can be individually adjusted by means of the depth-adjustable lumbar support. Not all seats are equipped with this.

  • Synchro mechanism

Activate the chair’s movement mechanism for dynamic and healthy sitting. This motion supports the metabolism of your spinal discs, helping to prevent fatigue and physical discomfort.

  • Weight adjustment

Adjust the backrest counterpressure to match your body weight to create the optimal balance between sufficient support and smooth movement.

  • Seat tilt

Certain working postures require specific support and a different pelvic angle. The seat tilt can be adjusted individually (not available on all models).

  • Armrests

Adjust the armrest height so your arms hang relaxed beside your body and your forearms rest at a 90° angle. Using a height-adjustable desk? Match the armrests height to the desktop for optimal shoulder and neck relief - preventing strain and tension.
